After yesterday’s excitement, today seemed completely tame. My only appointment was another make-up session at 4pm. What was frustrating about this one is that I messed up some things I had gotten right before. On the other hand, I did better with the damn blacktrack. I’m realizing that I also need to get closer to the mirror. Some of the shading is so subtle that I’m bound to get it wrong when I’m too far away. Also, I’m still learning how to best position the various sized brushes and sponges – and apply the right amount of pressure. Each area and each color require different layers of force. My God it’s complicated. Overall, I didn’t do too badly and I couldv’e gone on in that make-up. I’ll get better the more times I do it. I’ll also get more consistent. Right now, I’ll do a great job on one side then screw it up on the other. Ah, well.
I workout for a bit before the show but I don’t have much time for anything else. I do sign up for a massage tomorrow. My body hurts after all of the activity from yesterday.
Shadowing Gail has become fairly routine but I do still enjoy watching the show on the monitors. That’s got to be a good sign. Not much else to report so I’ll sign off for now.
